Role Responsibilities
Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company's growth and long-term goals.
- Collaborate with the executive team to align financial objectives with the overall business strategy.
- Assist in contract negotiations with customers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that protect the company's interests while fostering strong customer relationships.
- Conduct financial analysis and modeling to evaluate the feasibility and profitability of new initiatives or expansion opportunities.
- Along with the rest of the executive leadership team support the CRO in developing competitive pricing strategies and packaging models that maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.
Financial Management:
- Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to drive informed decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Oversee financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Manage cash flow and working capital to optimize financial stability and liquidity.
- Implement financial systems and processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop annual department budgets. Provide guidance and support in establishing budgetary goals, targets, and allocation of resources in alignment with the organization's overall financial objectives.
- Work closely with department heads to analyze budget performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement corrective measures as needed.
Funding and Investor Relations:
- Assist in identifying the need for and structuring future investment rounds by providing financial expertise and support.
- Manage relationships with investors, including regular communication and reporting.
- Identify and pursue additional funding opportunities to fuel the company's growth.
Business Operations:
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations/HR to optimize operational processes, streamline workflows, and improve overall efficiency. Develop and implement strategies to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and maximize resources while aligning with the organization's financial goals.
- Provide guidance and support to the HR department in developing and implementing strategic initiatives related to talent acquisition, retention, performance management, and employee development. Collaborate on workforce planning, compensation strategies, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies within the Operations and HR departments. Work closely with the Director of Operations/HR to establish and maintain robust compliance frameworks, processes, and controls.
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations/HR to identify and implement technology solutions and systems that enhance operational efficiency, data management, and reporting capabilities. Ensure the alignment of technology initiatives with the organization's strategic objectives.
- Oversee the procurement, installation, and maintenance of IT systems, including computers, equipment, and software services. Ensure the availability of reliable and up-to-date systems to support the organization's operational needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- The ability to discern and comprehend the unique challenges, opportunities, and needs that ministries encounter within specific cultural, social, and faith contexts.
- Proven experience as a CFO or similar financial leadership role in a SaaS company.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
- Experience in managing investor relations and fundraising activities.
- Ability to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Excellent negotiation, contract management, and legal compliance skills.
